Make your own elderberry syrup in your pressure cooker or Instant Pot!
Add elderberries, water, and optional ingredients to the Instant Pot and stir. Do not add the honey yet! Secure lid, seal pressure release knob.
Cook at high pressure for 10 minutes. Use a natural release.
Set a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and strain contents from the IP. Press the elderberries to remove juice. Discard strained ingredients.
Cool. Stir in honey. Store in refrigerator for 2-4 weeks. Freeze extra syrup.
Adults: take 1-2 Tbsp per day
Children older than one: 1-2 tsp. per day
(do not give to babies under one year old.)
