I have a lot of fun with creating blogger’s websites, but Jessie Synan’s freelance site may be one of my favorites. This site is all about the work Jessie does in freelance writing and social media assistance, so I focused on injecting her identity into the site with script fonts that look like a signature.

I added a watercolor, painted feather to the logo to highlight her writing work. Feathers just may be my favorite symbol, and I can’t tell you how much I love the logo!

When it came time to design the site, I looked at a set of photography that would work well with her branding. I created my own mock-up by taking a quick screenshot of her logo with the photos before I purchased them.

This set looks fantastic, but I didn’t make the purchase, because I realized I already owned a really beautiful set of stock photos that would not only bring out the orange tones in her logo, but the deep teal colors as well. Here’s the final result.

There aren’t enough heart-eye emojis for me to express how I feel about it. In keeping with her branding, I had to create a signature for her posts and pages that match her branding. It’s very elegant, but casual too.
