Hi there! Welcome to my little series called Encouraging Bible Verses. I’d love for you to browse the other posts in this series. Grab some coffee and let’s dive in to God’s word together. I pray you’re encouraged by these Bible verses to brighten your day!

Today didn’t start off on a great note. It was more like a sour, flat note in the middle of a beautiful, melodic aria.

The grown-ups woke up late. We scrambled to get breakfast ready and kids dressed. Somehow, we managed to get everyone in the car to get to school on time, but as we started our drive Kai said, “I don’t have my glasses on.”

I hit the breaks, probably a little bit too quickly since the road was covered in snow, and we turned around. As we pulled in my husband appeared in the driveway and called to me from his car to let me know he left his coffee inside.

I hiked through the foot of snow on the driveway, ran in and grabbed my husband’s coffee and my son’s glasses, noticing at the last second Kai’s backpack was sitting there on the kitchen floor.

Even after rescuing all the items left behind in our house that morning and getting my son to school, there was still more that I had left undone. Yesterday’s laundry was waiting for me. The bare Christmas tree had to be put away. And I also realized I was late on my son’s tuition payment for school.

Is anybody else feeling a little frazzled these days?

All I know is I’m so glad God’s word is there for me every single day, whether it’s one of those hectic mornings that hit even in a good season full of blessings, or a truly difficult time.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a busy, tired, blogging mom of young kids like me, I bet you could use a little more cheer in your life. I looked high and low and included some of my favorite soul-lifting, smile-inducing scriptures just for you. I hope you’re blessed by them.

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
1 John 3:1, NIV

The one sitting on the throne was as brilliant as gemstones—like jasper and carnelian. And the glow of an emerald circled his throne like a rainbow.

Cheered on Mom

6 Comments on Encouraging Bible Verses to Brighten Your Day

  1. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10a is my favorite! Two IS better than one! We weren’t meant to walk this life alone. We were meant to share it with others to help carry each others’ burdens. Great post! Totally pinning this one for later!

  2. Thank you for this encouraging Bible verses for moms like me. It is true that as moms the burden of undone things is overwhelming and demotivating. But God’s word is the right medicine for all our situations.

I'd love to know what you think. Thanks for commenting!
