Hooray for Friday Favorites! This week was full of summer fun and hard work, too.

ONE

Homemade Popsicles

I think I only need to say one thing about these popsicles: I used Nutella.

If you haven’t made homemade popsicles with ribbons of Nutella running through them, here’s your peer pressure to do it ASAP.

They taste incredibly good! For my version, I blended together chunks of frozen banana with a teensy bit of half and half and 1/2 a bag of frozen mixed berries. I layered that blend with Chobani strawberry yogurt, plus, of course, Nutella. And that’s how a new family tradition was born.

C’mon, everybody’s doing it!

TWO

A Pre-K Devotional

One day about a month ago, Ry asked me to find a devotional that would be good for our family. You guys, this was no easy task. I wanted it to have something for all of us, and we span ages two to 40.

First, I bought a book that wasn’t right for us (too old for Sylvie!). But I struck gold on my second try with Our Daily Bread for Preschoolers.

I’m going to quote the description, because it’s all true…

Each daily reading features a Bible verse that’s easy to understand, a practical question to help children apply what they learn, and a short, rhyming prayer to help them talk to God. Captivate the hearts of little ones with God’s truth and love!

It’s perfect for us!

THREE

DIY Landscaping

We used to have a little problem with the path to our front door–nobody used it! This Spring, we decided to do away with our pretty but awkward sideways path and make one where it should be.

Five gallons of sweat later, this was born.

We’re going to grab a little more river rock on our next big-city trip and call this official. We love it, our neighbors love it, and for some reason little birds love it too. (They hop from stone to stone!) It’s a hit. On the downside, we never want to see a shovel again.

FOUR

Rainy Day Baking

I have a complicated relationship with baking, but we had a beautiful rainy day this week, and I took advantage.

The kids and I made these super tasty (and easy) Peanut Butter Brownies.

Layered brownies are ambitious for me, even using a mix, but they came out ok! Go grab the recipe here.

FIVE

Freebie of the Week: Identifying Your Values

This week’s freebie is another fantastic one! Today I’m sharing a free guide to identifying your core values from Mary Gallagher of Find Your Simple. It’ll help you identify your core values and learn more about simplicity.

click to sign up for the guide!

This wonderful workbook really helped me zero in on what’s important to me, why it matters, and where I might need to make adjustments. I highly recommend it!

Tell me what you’re loving this week. And have a happy Friday!
