Hooray for Friday Favorites! This week was jam-packed with awesomeness. Summer is getting off to a great start around here!

Climbing and Playing at the Playground

The playgrounds are ALIVE with kids (and moms) off for school. We made a short trip to an out-of-town playground because it’s perfect for my kids’ ages.

This is the ladder Kai first conquered a year ago and praised God for being able to do it! 🙂

Sylvie is one brazen adventurer. She has zero problems going down the tallest slide on her own. I love how these two give each other courage in new situations.

Sea Bands

Have I done enough raving about Sea Bands yet? I can’t stop! I want you to know if you or your kids have motion sickness, they’re worth a try.

my son’s totally natural Sea Band pose…

Sea Bands have stopped my son from throwing up in the car. Thank you, Jesus!

It happened so often I made a vomit kit to have ready at all times (still a good idea). I gotta say, I don’t exactly get why Sea Bands work (something about pressure points), but I’m not complaining. They’re completely medicine free and easy and effective for my son.

Here’s the link for kids’ sea bands as well as adult sea bands.

My Salt + Light tank top

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but I’ve begun adding more products to my shop on the DL. I did it a bit under the radar so that I could test them out, sit with them for a week, and decide if it was a good fit.

After all that waiting, I’m more than ready to talk about the shop! I’m really excited and proud of all the products, but today I just had to highlight this tank!

In white, the “salt and light” message stands out, and that’s why I love it! In other colors it still looks great, but you can see the words “sea” and “sun” easily, for an extra beach-y vibe. Go grab one!

Cooking with Kids

My kids had the best time helping me make our tasty little taco cups the other day. It’s the perfect recipe to let younger ones participate. All I did was heat up the meat, let the pan cool, and press in the tortillas. They loved filling them up!

cooking with kids: taco cups! cooking with kids: taco cups!

Actually, Kai and Sylvie did a great job and made them better than I do–it turns out a free spirit is the key to delicious dinners. 🙂 Here’s the taco cup recipe–they are incredibly tasty, great for kids, and perfect for summer!

Freebie of the Week: Faith and Fitness Resources

This week’s freebie is actually a huge list of 10 freebies from Marsha Apsley over at Fath and Fitness. They each have incredible value, and she offers something for everyone.

I had the hardest time choosing a freebie because they all looked so good! I went with the LIFT You Up E-Course. I’m loving it so far!

Marsha sends me an inspiring email every morning, and there’s a Facebook group too! Right now the group is reading and discussing Made to Crave by Lysa Terkeurst. Even if you aren’t participating in the book club, there’s plenty of discussion in the group for you.

I have to say, the ladies in the group are gracious believers who are honest and encouraging. I’m glad I found it! Just sign up for LIFT You Up to get started. Or go take a look at Marsha’s full resources page to see what you’d like best.

Tell me what you’re loving this week. And have a happy Friday!
