Kai Graduated from Pre-K!
My little boy isn’t so little anymore. He finished up his last week of preschool with an official graduation. I distinctly remember wondering what all the pre-k graduation fuss is all about…now I get it. Just wait until kindergarten starts up! I’ll be a mess.
The lighting was making everyone squint! But my kiddo did a great job singing songs and doing the actions, and of course, accepting his “diploma”.
My parents got to come too!
Kai’s last day of school…
Compared with his first day of pre-k…
Anyone else getting used to the idea of having a kindergartener? It’s CRAZY.
Kai and I had the best time seeing shapes in the clouds on our hammock the other day. He was finding the most amazing animals, and he was also seriously cracking me up.
Here’s a dolphin!
And a dragon!
And us. 🙂
Ice Cream in the Car
We were determined to welcome summer the correct way: by visiting our local ice cream spot. On this particular day, it was wet and rainy and even a little chilly.
Obviously, that’s when you order a hot fudge sundae and eat it in the car.
I didn’t know what to expect with a 2-year-old eating ice cream in the car, but she was actually pretty neat with it. It also helped that we used a ton of wipes and paper towels. Oh, plus a bib!
These, right here, are the shoes I’ll be living in this summer. I really put them to the test by wearing them all over Kansas City the day after I bought them…and I was SO comfortable right away.
I’ve tried Skechers, but my feet slide around them, and if you know me, you know that’s likely to cause a few accidents. Adidas (these are cloudfoam ortholite you can grab on Amazon!) are both comfy and supportive. Plus, bright and cute. I mean, I’m not ready for actual orthopedic shoes yet.
Freebie of the Week: Study the Bible for Yourself
You guys, I can’t believe this is free. Ellen of Scripture Confident Living is providing a free online course with four modules and nine videos that will take your faith deeper and allow you to dig into scripture. Here’s what intrigued me most–she writes,
I’ll show you the two aspects to studying the Bible with the right kind of confidence: (1) Learning Bible study methods and (2) understanding the Bible’s storyline. I have the key to mastering both without overwhelm.
I’m all signed up! Join me here.
Tell me what you’re loving this week. And have a happy Friday!
