Kai’s Vision + Hearing
This week we’re working on two big adjustments for Kai. First, his loaner pair of glasses came in! The ones he chose will look like this, but with blue frames. I just had to share this picture even though it’s not his official glasses.
He’s so handsome! And he’s already been telling me about the things he can see. Stop signs, cars, and the huge airplane decal we have in his room. I’m still getting over the shock that he suddenly started talking about this airplane after his glasses. I had no idea he couldn’t see it!
And right now, Friday morning, Kai’s getting tubes in his ears. I’m so happy that his hearing will improve right away. Say a prayer that he’s comfortable and doesn’t have a bad reaction to anesthesia.
I put Sylvie’s hair in a ponytail for the first time, and I can’t get over how cute it looks!
It also ages her about ten years.
Maybe that’s just me.
We’ve had a taste of actual Spring weather, and it was so awesome to get outside! The kids started using chalk to color our maple tree right away.
This was seriously the best picture I got. 😀
When my in-laws were here (we miss them!), “the guys” (Ry, his dad, and Kai) all went to Costco and came back with supersized everything. Ry knows I love popcorn, and so he grabbed me this.
It might actually get me through the year.
Freebie of the Week: Digital Detox Challenge
You guys, Allyson over at Rapt Motherhood has an awesome four-week challenge. I can completely identify with her story of developing a social media habit as a way to take “breaks” during the tough or dull parts of her day. We could all use a little help managing our time on social media. Allyson has a great perspective and the steps she has you take will help you be more productive and lead you right to Jesus. Just fill out the form to subscribe and get started!
ONE MORE THING…
I kept this short because this week was insanely full. School registration, a parent-teacher conference, and minor surgery were just some of the things we’re taking care of this week. I had to add to my plans, of course, by working on a free mini-ebook that I hope to have available very soon! This is different from the devotional I’m working on, by the way, which has been delayed. But this free little ebook was so much fun to work on, and I think you’re going to love it! Stay tuned, friends.
Tell me what you’re loving this week. And have a happy Friday!
