Little Hugs
So, it seems that we’re almost all healed up from our Month of Sickness. Kai got to go to preschool this week, just in time for one last class before Spring break! 🙂 My sweet kiddos bonded a bit more while they were sick. Kai got the hang of reading to his sister and hugging her without tackling or being too rough. (He’s a little too enthusiastic sometimes.) How cute are they??
TWO
Kai’s First Time Seeing Cars
My son is almost five, and while he was still getting healthy, Ry grabbed the movie Cars and we sat down and watched it together. We talked a lot about what was happening and what Lightning was learning, and Kai loved it. His favorite part might have been the opening crash scene. 🙂
It’s the little things, am I right?
THREE
Chicken Stock + Chili
For the first time in my life, I’m making and using my own chicken stock. And it’s been glorious to not only make chicken soup with it, but to throw some of the stock in all kinds of recipes. I threw a small frozen chunk of stock in my Instant Pot chili, and I think it made it extra delicious!
By the way, the reason I know how to make chicken stock in my IP is because of my friend Lisa. You can follow her chicken stock recipe here, plus read all about the health benefits of homemade stock. It really wowed me!
FOUR
My Cute Travel Mug
I’ve been drinking coffee from this insulated mug every single morning since Ry got it for me for Christmas, and I finally realized I should be sharing it here!
My favorite book that I read in 2017 was Love Does by Bob Goff, so I was pretty excited when I saw what was on this mug! It’s covered in gold foil paper airplanes, and it features the quote:
Give away love & grace like you’re made of the stuff.
-Bob Goff
I loooove it.
FIVE
Freebie of the Week
I’m starting a new feature here so I can share amazing freebies with all of you! To get us started, I thought I’d share the Psalm 62:1 verse printable I created this week.

I wrote about resting in God, because oddly enough, that’s what’s been on my heart. (Kidding. God knows I needed to rest more in Him!) Get your dose of biblical rest here.
Next week, and every week after that, check here for some amazing freebies from other bloggers! I reached out to my blogging buddies, and now I have such an impressive list of helpful and inspiring freebies to share with you in the coming weeks. I’m crazy excited about it! (And if you’re a blogger who offers a freebie, just email me with your link so I can feature you.)
Tell me what you’re loving this week. And have a happy Friday!

How cute! Love the freebie and your blog.
Thanks so much! ❤
Aw, I bet Kai did love Cars! That was Jacob’s favorite when he was tiny and he still loves it now! We just watched Cars 3 a couple of weekends ago. Happy weekend!
It’s gonna be his favorite, I think! Hope you have a great weekend too.
