Hooray for Friday Favorites! It’s time once again for all of the internet to share the things that made our week just a little bit better. And to do a little victory dance. And to get the song “My Favorite Things” stuck in our heads. (Sorry.) So here are a few things I am loving lately, as I wrap up another sleepy, sunny, much-needed-rainy kind of week with my fantastic family of four.
We had a great time last weekend enjoying my parents’ farm with the kids. My mom made them these strawberry-beet popsicles, which they both loved…and little Sylvie insisted on eating hers while she was in the pool. This way, she could get messy and then clean at basically the same time. Pretty efficient, huh? (click on a picture to see the gallery)
Reconnecting with Friends
Some friends feel like they have been part of my life forever, and that’s how it is with Rebecca. We were close in high school, went through two years of college together, and have stayed in touch through our married years and mama years too. She knows so much about me, it’s almost embarrassing.
She’s the friend I wrote about when I shared some verses for serving your family with joy, and she’s going to join me for my next post in that series. How excited am I to be sharing scripture once again with one of my all-time best friends in the universe? SUPER DUPER.
I’m sure I kept you on pins and needles about whether I’d stay exceptionally pale or end up fake baking this summer. Well, I’m here to say I’m on board with self tanner, and I have the embarrassing leg pictures to prove it.
I feel like some sort of tropical goddess even though to most people I probably just look like I have a glow and not an actual tan. By the way, this is the tanner I used. It doesn’t smell, doesn’t streak, looks natural, and is easy to use even for novices like me. Yay!
Okay, I’d say this is NOT an ad, except that it happens to be an ad. My mom sent me a link to this video because it made her laugh, and then I watched it and it made ME laugh, and now I’m sharing it with you so that you can laugh. Because this is pretty much mom life summed up right here. (Again, this is only accidentally an ad.)
What I’m Pinning: My Favorite Post of the Week
This week’s favorite comes from The Heart of Deborah and is all about being intentional as a stay-at-home mom, remembering that your work is important, and creating a simple mission statement to help you stay focused and fulfilled. It’s called The Best Way to Find Purpose as a Stay-at-Home-Mom. Lauren’s blog is amazing and full of insights, encouragement, tips, and crafty inspiration too. I’m basically ready for us to be BFFs. Go check it out!
I’m on Pinterest here, if you want to see what else I’m pinning lately. I’d love to see what you’re pinning too!
Tell me what you’re loving this week. And have a happy Friday!
